    Solitaire Steel offers a variety of corrosion-resistant plates, including Corten Plates and Corten A Plates. These plates are designed to withstand frequent oxidation, making them ideal for applications where exposure to the elements is common. The unique feature of Corten Steel is its oxide layer, which acts as a natural protective coating, preventing further corrosion and extending the plate’s lifespan.

    Corten Plates are made from a blend of carbon, silicon, manganese, phosphorus, sulfur, chromium, copper, and nickel. This composition can vary slightly depending on the grade, such as Corten A Plates. The plates come in different strengths, with a minimum yield strength of 355 MPa and a tensile strength ranging from 470 to 630 MPa. For thinner A558 Corten A Plates (3mm thick), the minimum yield strength is 275 MPa, and the tensile strength is 410 MPa.

    Weather Resistant Steel Plates, also known as Corten Steel or weathering steel, develop a protective patina when exposed to the atmosphere. This natural coating reduces maintenance needs by self-healing scratches and damage.

    We provide Weathering Steel A Plates, Corten B Steel Plates, and Corten Steel IRSM 41 Grade plates for various applications, including building construction, outdoor structures, and permanent installations. The non-coated nature of these plates eliminates the need for frequent maintenance.

    CuNi (copper-nickel) alloys are among the most corrosion-resistant materials. They excel in resisting humidity, non-oxidizing acids, caustic and salt solutions, as well as dry gas like oxygen, chlorine, hydrochloric and fluoro chloric acids, sulfur dioxide, and carbon dioxide.
