Solitaire Steel is a prominent manufacturer, supplier, and exporter of high-quality SAE J525 Welded Hydraulic Tubing Carbon Steel. This tubing is made from welded low-carbon steel and is specially annealed for optimal bending and flaring. It’s designed for use in pressure lines that require durable tubing suitable for bending, shaping, and brazing.
SAE J525 Welded Hydraulic Tubing is commonly used in various industries, including heavy equipment, agriculture, off-road vehicles, automotive applications, steering and transmission components, and process and utility systems. It is ideal for high-pressure hydraulic applications due to its robust construction and flexibility.
The production process for J525 tubing involves several steps. After welding flat-rolled steel into a tubular shape, the tubing undergoes multiple cold-drawn reductions, intermediate anneals, and a final dead-soft anneal. This process ensures the tubing is of high quality, with a good balance of strength and flexibility for easy bending and flaring.
While J525 is used in similar applications as J524, the key difference is that J525 is welded from flat stock, whereas J524 is seamless. Both types offer high quality and comparable properties, but J524 is often preferred when seamless tubing is required.
